What are the types of WMS systems for warehouse management?

The following different WMS systems exist:   
Core WMS System: Manages elementary warehouse operations such as: receiving and storage, picking , packing and shipping of orders.
Advanced WMS System: Based on the core WMS with real-time inventory tracking included and order routing capabilities added.
Integrated WMS system: Integrates with other systems such as enterprise resource planning ( ERP ) and transportation management systems ( TMS ) to provide a more holistic view of warehouse operations.
Local WMS system: Runs locally on the company's own servers. The system requires custom integration with other business systems. Implementation can be a long process compared to other types of WMS .
Cloud -based WMS : Cloud -based WMS is a web-based software service accessible over the Internet. The advantage of this kind of system is that it is easier and faster to implement. Cloud-based WMS solutions can be customized according to a company's needs and processes. It is possible to integrate with cloud ERP systems and technologies used in the warehouse.
Mobile WMS: Mobile apps or mobile interface are required for management here. Using portable devices, warehouse personnel will access and update the WMS system.
